Installation Engineer Manager Required!

BE Recruitment are recruiting an Installation Engineering Manager, working all over the UK & Overseas.

Location: Various locations across the UK and occasional overseas work (depending on project site)

Salary: £38,000 + Bonuses

Overview: BE Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Installation Engineering Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering installations. This role requires managing a team of engineers, liaising with clients, and ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:

    • Lead and manage the installation phase of projects.
    • Implement pre-agreed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Ensure projects meet technical specifications and quality standards.
    • Develop and manage installation and maintenance calendars.
    • Report on and manage installation slots for large-scale and small works delivery.
    • Liaise with agencies to adjust labor requirements per project needs.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team of installation engineers.
    • Allocate resources effectively and manage team performance.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  3. Client Liaison:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project installations.
    • Participate in client meetings prior to onsite installations.
    • Understand and exceed client requirements.
    • Address client concerns and provide timely updates on project progress.
  4. Technical Oversight:

    • Review and approve installation design packs, plans, and specifications.
    • Ensure installations are executed according to design and regulatory standards.
    • Recognize and remedy any installation performance issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installations.
  5. Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure all installations comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Promote a culture of safety within the team.
  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
    • Stay updated with the latest engineering trends and technologies.
    • Encourage ongoing learning and development within the team.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including installation reports and records.
    • Prepare and present regular project status reports to project management.
    • Ensure all documentation complies with company and regulatory standards.
    • Meet and communicate regularly with the project management team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant health and safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, PASMA, IPAF, CSCS, SSSTS, SMSSTS).
  • Full Clean UK driving license.
  • Full UK passport.
  • Significant experience in engineering installation or project management roles.
  • Proven track record of managing engineering projects.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams of engineers.

Skills:

  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficient in engineering and installation practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.

Desirable Certifications/Skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • License for LGV HGV or similar.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Hands-on mechanical skills (ability to use power tools).
  • Awareness of or hold electrical engineering certification.
  • EMC and RF awareness.
  • Prepared to undertake National Security Vetting to SC level.

Work Environment:

  • Combination of office-based work with regular site visits.
  • Periods of working away and staying near installation sites for extended durations.
  • Some overseas travel expected.
  • Travel to client sites and project locations as required

Facilities Cleaning Technician

BE Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing client, based in Coleshill, Birmingham. And they are recruiting for 3x Facilities Cleaning Technician’s to join their existing team.

We have immediate starts available with hourly rates paying upto £11.90 per hour!

These are long term roles with a genuine opportunity to go permanent after a successful trial period!

The right candidate must be PASMA trained and IPAF trained to 3a and 3b equivalent.

  • Maintain maintenance systems and support in development.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Working at heights inside/outside the building.

Hours of work for the Facilities Cleaning Technician role:

The current hours of work is a rotating shift…

6am til 2pm/2pm til 10pm

With earlier finishes on a Friday!

Optional overtime available.

Pay rates for Facilities Cleaning Technician role:

£11.90 per hour.

Cleaning experience preferred but not required.

Ideally worked in a manufacturing company previously.

Must be able to use industrial equipment i.e vacuum cleaner at high level.

Must be PASMA and IPAF trained.
