Turning Machine Setters / Operatives Required!

BE Recruitment are recruiting Mill operators for an engineering client, located in LE1, who work on parts within the agricultural / automotive industries.

Must have experience using Micrometers, verniers and height gauges. (You will be tested prior to starting the role).

* Experience on Turning Machine is required, preferably with the ability to set the machine *

Shift: Monday – Friday

Rotational shift – 06:00-14:00 | 14:00-22:00 (Must be able to work both shifts).

Pay: £11.50 – £13 P/H | Potential 10% increase after 16 weeks.

CNC Setter / Operator Required!

BE Recruitment are recruiting a CNC setter / operator on a permanent basis for an engineering client. They’re located in LE19, working in the aerospace industry.

Shift:

Monday – Friday | 06:00 – 14:00 (Morning Shift)

Pay:

£13.58 P/H (£26,481 PA)

Benefits:

• Pay Rising by 0.5% in July 2024
• Pay Rising by Further 0.5% in October 2024
• 10% Employer Pension Contribution

Specific Responsibilities

• Set, Fault Find & Operate machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
• In process deburring and Self Inspection
• To use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications.
• Self-certification of personal work.
• To prove out downloaded programs so they are in line with the correct timings in accordance with our manufacturing and quality standards and then to upload the proven program.
• Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times.
• Responsible for producing SPC charts and records.
• Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.
• Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis.

• Maintain full compliance with policies and procedures and conduct all activities in accordance with the Business Conduct.
• To adhere to all company EHS requirements and actively participate in the identification and elimination of hazards.
• To undertake and promote their own self development, in line with Company and personal aims.

Education, Experience & Background

• Experience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting CNC Machines preferably DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan with fanuc/sieman controls
• Aerospace experience would be advantageous.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00- 16:30

Pay:

• £12 – £15 P/H (Dependant on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding tasks as part of a collaborative team.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute precise welding specifications.
• Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and production schedules.
• Weld various metals, with a focus on materials up to 5mm thickness.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols.

Requirements:

• Proficient in MIG, Stick & Sheet metal welding.
• Proven experience as a production welder & spot welding.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Competence in welding metals up to 5mm thickness.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in welding.

Qualifications:

• Certification in welding or relevant field.
• Previous experience in a similar spot welding role.

• Set up and operate Amada Promecam Brake Press efficiently and safely.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to accurately produce parts.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality output.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Brake Press Setter, preferably with Amada Promecam machinery.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work autonomously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
