Sales Manager

The Sales Executive will play a pivotal role in driving sales within the solar PV sector, with a focus on achieving a minimum annual sales revenue of £1 million from new business in Year One. The ideal candidate should possess a strong sales background, a passion for renewable energy, and a track record of surpassing sales targets.

This role entails cultivating client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering customised solar solutions to meet client needs across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and execute strategic sales plans to meet company targets in the renewables sector. Employ a defined selling process to assess client needs and achieve new business sales goals.

  2. Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand their requirements thoroughly and offer tailored solar solutions. Manage the qualification process for SME, Construction, and other sales inquiries.

  3. Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and market segments within the solar PV sector, focusing on SME, commercial, and industrial clients. Proactively build a robust sales pipeline by identifying and engaging with potential prospects.

  4. Proposal Generation: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients, ensuring alignment with their specifications and needs.

  5. Product Knowledge: Stay abreast of the latest developments in renewables technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements. Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services to clients. Recommend and participate in relevant regional and local trade shows.

  6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales activities meticulously, maintain accurate records, and provide regular reports on sales performance, including forecasts and updates on the sales pipeline to the Sales Director.

  7. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including design, project, and marketing departments, to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction. Work particularly closely with the Design team to propose renewable solutions using software platforms such as PV Sol, Solar Edge, and CAD. Coordinate with the marketing team to maintain an up-to-date presence on Social Media platforms and develop strategies to generate new sales leads, including Google Ads and Blogs.

  8. CRM Management: Input, update, and manage sales projects using SalesForce CRM.
