Business Development Manager Required!

BE Recruitment are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join one of our clients in LE4 area in Leicester, who are a manufacturer.

Day to day may include:

  • Identifying new target customers & maximise success rates.
  • Working closely with Marketing Business Development Representative to identify & qualify prospective customers.
  • Working closely with Commercial Manager to agree target customers, products to offer and all terms & conditions to offer.
  • Using prospect lists & marketing activity to create effective plans on who, when & how to target new business.
  • Develop & Implement strategies and marketing collateral to convert prospects into customers.
  • Leading pitches & closely monitor new customers, ensuring satisfaction & tracking performance.
  • Attending trade exhibitions, networking events & visit end users, ensuring end user business is managed correctly.
  • Ensuring customer expectations are met, understanding all new customer requirements, identifying any risks, mitigating risks, gathering feedback & communicating all internally.
  • Negotiating terms & conditions, ensuring a consistent pricing policy, implementing pricing increases/reductions, negotiating rebate schemes, ensuring customers pay to agreed terms.
  • Growing sales of target products, report feedback on performance of products & provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Identifying gaps in product range & using competitor information, making recommendations for growth.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, obtaining forecasts from new customers, regularly reporting performance against forecasts.
  • Updating KPI’s, preparing sales reports (Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly). Running group sales meetings, updating CRM system, and preparing detailed reports on sales/customers visits.
  • Working in line with Line & Account Managers to determine when a new customer can be handed over, providing seamless handovers, and a clear sales/development plan for the future is agreed & in place with the customer.

Working shifts and pay:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Flexible – 8:30-17:00 (potential 2 days a week work from home available after probation period)
  • £50,000 – £55,000 (Dependant on experience)

Experience

  • Experienced selling within the industrial consumables market & distribution channels.
  • Proven track record & demonstratable new business wins.
  • Up-date knowledge within the market.
