Transport Shift Manager Needed!

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a Transport Shift Manager to join one of our clients in Rugby. This position is initially for maternity cover with the potential for extended coverage during holidays and other periods.

Working Hours/ Pay:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 06:00 – 14:00 / 11:00 – 19:00 rotating
  • Pay £15.76

The Role:

  • Assist in providing an efficient transport administration service and accurate management information.
  • Generate a daily distribution report with vehicle, trailer, departure, delivery, and running time details.
  • Extract necessary data from driver daily activity sheets and update the PC system.
  • Fleet administration responsibilities such as scheduling MOTs, services, tax, etc., in adherence to legal requirements.
  • Ensure all drivers are appropriately trained and complete CPC training hours.
  • Brief and debrief drivers.
  • Ensure all shifts are adequately staffed
  • Ensure successful audits
  • Uphold service levels and conduct service investigations (RCA) with recommendations.
  • Oversee MHE maintenance and compliance.
  • Participate in Wellbeing, Sustainability, CI, and other site projects.

  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Committed to delivering consistent quality and service.
  • Skilled in open and honest communication with individuals at all levels within the organisation and customers to meet expectations and KPIs.
  • Capable of analysing data to develop action plans for service level improvements.
  • Demonstrated excellence in leadership, team building, and fostering productive relationships.
  • Ability to deliver consistent performance while upholding Health & Safety and quality requirements.
