Taxi Driver

BE Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known taxi company in the Tamworth area.
We are looking Taxi Drivers to work on a long term self-employed based. Also would be Ideal for Drivers from the Following postcode areas -B37,B46,B76, B78,Cv9 ,WS13 ,B43, WS11,DE13 you would have to apply for licence Through The Tamworth Borough Council .

Duties will include the safe collection and drop off of members of the public around the Tamworth and surrounding areas this can include airport runs, drops into city centre locations on nights out, taking elderly members of the public to the shops and various other runs.

This role is not standard hours or days and will require drivers to have flex-ability and be able to work some evenings and weekends. Drivers can generally earn £300-£1500 per week dependent upon the hours and days they choose to work. This is very much a get out what you put in kind of role.

Our client is offering a generous contribution towards obtaining the hackney carriage license (50% of the cost, which is £145 this will be deducted from you after 1st week of work), full guidance and support. The process for obtaining a license is a follows:

  • Standard medical including eye test
  • a DBS check
  • application via our client upon successful interview
  • Candidate must be over 21
  • had a driving licence for more than 3 years
  • no more than 6 points on the driving licence
  • must use your own car
  • Options To Rent Vehicle
  • Knowledge test of Tamworth

medical check and eye test £40
Weekly fee for the taxi app £96 phone supplied .

Duties/Requirements:

  • You will support inventory control and best material flow practices on the production floor.
  • Safely and efficiently control stock,execute regular stock audits, manage stock rotation and help with flow of products.

You will also be expected to comply with Food Safety Regulations and quality standards, and adhere to, and always uphold strict Health and Safety standards.

Day to day duties will include:

Local and national work

Bay to bay deliveries

You will have the choice of trunking or store deliveries

Hours of work/Pay rate/Benefits:

You will be paid £18.42 per hour for the first 42 hours worked and £20.53 per hour after 42 hours

If You Then work Saturday-0600-To Monday 0600 – It will be 18.42ph

Overtime Is Paid at 22.53ph Saturday 0600-Monday 0600

6 months driving on class 1 required

The pay rate is a PAYE rate and you will also be entitled to 28 days holiday, pro rata, sick pay, maternity pay and paternity pay, after a qualifying period.
