Duties will include:

Being the first point of contact for drivers when it comes to locating addresses and giving delivery instructions
Administrative duties
Ensuring paperwork is completed
Implementing health and safety policies as well as security policies in order to maintain a safe working environment

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday – full flexibility is required due to the depot being operational 7 days a week
06:00 to 18:00 £125 per shift
18:00 to 06:00 £150 per shift

Requirements:

Flexibility for holiday covers
1 years of office based experience preferably in transport operations or a knowledge of delivery service
Attention to details as well as excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel essential
Knowledge of geographical local area
Administrator experience

Job Purpose:

To work with and assist the Warehouse Team in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Depot. The is a cover role, so you will be expected to complete your usual Warehouse tasks when not acting as a Warehouse Administrator.

The role:

The successful applicant will complete Warehouse administration as directed by the Management team and will report directly to the Warehouse Shift Manager.

Daily duties include:

  • Data input – maintaining and updating computer stock records.
  • Providing stock information to customers and other departments.
  • Stock reconciliation – physical vs computer records.
  • Resolving and stock issues that may arise.
  • Receiving and processing customer orders.
  • Filing/archiving paperwork.

Skills and experience:

  • An understanding of issues of warehousing
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • IT Literate and strong competency on Excel.

Duties:

  • Taking care of payroll from start to finish
  • Ensure that employees are paid correctly and on time
  • Working with Opera and Corona system (happy with candidates with Sage or similar experience)
  • Handle and process payroll related information and data
  • Interrogate how employee payments are made up and pick up any inaccuracies
  • Calculate manual payments (gross to net) and raise payments outside the normal payroll run process
  • Processing of SMP, SSP and pension contribution
  • Processing P45 and P60 forms
